Everything went according to plan in Inchon where third rankedSakers (26-16) beat 5th ranked KoGas (22-20) 79-72 on Friday. LG Sakers outrebounded KoGas 47-28 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Filipino forward Carl Tamayo (200-2001) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Filipino guard Samjosef Belangel (177-1999) produced 18 points and 7 assists and Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. LG Sakers moved-up to second place, which they share with Mobis Phoebus. Loser KoGas keep the fifth position with 20 games lost.
